I enjoy serving as a member of the MLT (Management Leadership Team), FLT (Finance Leadership Team) and as a worship leader for His Shinning Stars on Wednesdays and during church for KidTastic, TotTastic and FamTastic. I’ve become involved in missions and look forward to future involvement.

 

My occupation is in the accounting field working as a Financial Controller.

Larry Phelps:

Wife Laurie - 35 years

 

Larry has 2 children, Lisa and Jeff.  Lisa and Cameron Korrect live in St. Louis, Missouri.  Lisa is the Marketing Director of The Jones Company, a division of Centex Home Builders.  Cameron is a pilot, flying Amerian Airlines and U.S. Airways planes out of St. Louis. 

 

Jeff is the Senior High Youth Director at Westwood Church, an EFCA church in St. Cloud, Minnesota.  He will be marrying Jessica Ruprecht, a fellow Horizons’ attender, on May 16, 2009.

Larry has served on various church and Christian school boards for the past 33 years.  He currently serves on the Horizons’ Management Team and is a greeter.

 

He is the Sales Manager for Solbrekk, Inc., a computer networking firm in Golden Valley.  Laurie is a Realtor.

Chris Vasecka:

Wife Stacey – 7.5 years

 

Four kids, Bethany (6), Katelyn (4), Marcus (2), and Benjamin (18mts.)

You can see my wife checking in children on Sunday morning or setting up classrooms before hand.  You can find me serving as a small group leader for 12th grade boys, building stage sets, or hanging by my normal corner on Sunday mornings.  If you need to find Marcus, just ask anyone.  He seems to be the most popular of the Andover V's.

 

Over the last 6 years, Horizons has dramatically changed our walk with God.  I came here as an unbeliever.  Through a long series of events, including reading books, joining a men's Bible study, and Jimmy's sermons, I accepted Christ as my savior.  Since that time, we have made huge, life altering, decisions after a gut churning sermon or some perfectly placed Godly wisdom from other Horizons family members.  We look forward to a long life as servants at Horizons Community Church.
